1) How much is room service ? > Room service is 300 baht once or 500 baht every few days. 500 baht for final room cleaning.
2) How much is airport transfer > Airport transfer is 300 baht eachway per person (600 per person) On Stays of a month or over I throw this in free.
3) Are there any other costs involved > No, other than room service and breakfast which are both optional only i would ask if a final room cleaning could be done at the end of each stay costing 500 baht.
4) Can i rent a bike or car ? The residence does stock bikes at the other sister resort that can be brought to the residence. Alternatively a taxi could be brought to the residence (ask at reception) and you can taken to any number of motor vehicle / bike rental shop.
5) how much is breakfast > Breakfast is 300 baht and can consist of eggs, bacon, toast and exotic fruits on the side, with fresh orange juice.
6) Is the restaurant on site open all the time > no, between 12 midday and 4pm restaurant and reception is closed but the receptionist likes to leave her number with all guests incase of emergency. i.e. locked out.
7) How do I get to Samui > if from as far as the uk its a two flight to bangkok, then an hours flight from there from www.bangkokairways.com
8) how long can i stay without a visa in thailand > 28 days. unless you apply for a 3 month holiday visa costing £28.
9) Are there any restaurants close by within walking distance > yes at seven eleven head right towards the big buddha and your find restaurants with coastal / see views. Short but i would drive as so hot and humid at night. only a short walk wearing the wrong stuff and you could find yourself working up a sweat before the restaurant.
Is the pool and jaccuzi free / are towels included > yes the pool and jacuzi is for all guests at the residence, towels are incl.
Depending on season the price can range, seasonal times are peak meaning highest time is mid dec to mid jan. mid time is mid jan to end of april and for July and august and the first half of dec. low season / cheapest time is May, June Oct sept and Nov.

12) How can i give such good value > Im the leaseholder for 90 years. I privatley promote by featuring in www.holidayletting.co.uk, and a number of other means, and constructed a website.
13) When did it open > jan 07. - The residence had a slow opening few years since 07 when it opened but i had no worries. I knew it was lack of advertising after seeing it and finding out what others think too and really happy with the studio 2 and last and this years bookings. I was convinced it was a lack of advertising on both parties. management and owner in the early stages.
14) Can i see it on google earth > pictures and location yes, if type in plai laem papillon residence you should find it. its been marked and has photos uploaded although there arial shot is older than the residence. (not an easy task registering business on google earth but its done)
15) how do if find out about what to do and where to go > You can pick up some leaflets from any travel agent shop, (there are many). they have info on all the activities. Chaweng is the best place to go for a night out. Lamai is second most popular.
16) Who manages the papillon residence > Phangan samui properties built and manage. (for myself (one of the many leaseholders) Valerie is the receptionist, booking manager and restaurant cook. The grounds are looked after and keep beautiful by a lovely local couple who look after the grounds around the clock everyday. If you encounter them they little english to which i can only apologise. If Valerie is not on site it is best to leave a note on the front desk or if an emergency im sure your have
17) Can I rent another apartment ? > yes another identical studio to studio 2 is almost always available. There is a 2nd floor 2 bed penthouse available too, for other Studio's please inquire direct witht the residence on www.residence@papillonkohsamui.com
18) How do I book > As soon as 30% deposit or the full balance is recieved by me (not the residence) I will send confirmation of Booking studio 2 via email promplty. Please ensure that the full balance is settled within a week of arrival. Thanks.
19) How can I pay > Cheque or bank transfer is most cheapest. Paypal is an option but i ask for £5 for every hundred using paypal to cover there high costs. (at my end) Please ask for bank details or UK Address when you are ready to book.

You are allocated a Tourist Visa for 30 days on arrival in Thailand by the passport control, provided you have a current travel document stating your return date. Please do not overstay your welcome.
For travellers or holiday makers wishing to stay longer than 30 days, please obtain a visa from the Thai Consulate in the UK prior to your visit to Thailand.
You can request a 3 month and up to 6 months Visa.
