To avoid any potential confusion during your holiday and travels, be aware the Papillon residence is located in Plai Laem Near the
Big Budda and there is another (connected) Papillon resort in Chaweng ! (also extremely nice) est 17 yrs ago, be careful not to mix them up.

Airport to the Papillon residence:
The Papillon residence is located 10 mins drive from the Koh Samui airport. A taxi service can be
pr-arranged with the Papillon residence for collection and delivery from the airport. A good price at only 100 baht. It is much cheaper than a
regular taxi and they meet / greet you at the airport with a sign reading your name, which makes you feel special and relieved after traveling so far.
You not need worry about finding the Papillon residence as collection and delivery is all pre-arranged for you.
Read carefully below. this will save you alot of time and may stop you getting lost.
Part of Koh Samui showing the airport and Papillon residence location. At the bottom right of the map is the start of Chaweng and further
down on the same coast is Lamai. Two of the popular tourist and party areas. As you can see there is no development around the Papillon
residence so a good nights sleep can be assured if you like as you can be confident you wont be kept up all night (as you would some places.)
Directions to Chaweng & Lamai from the Papillon residence: (There is a map of Samui on the wall in Studio 2 for convenience /
reference)To get to Chaweng or Lamai from The Papillon residence simply go left at seven eleven (when you approach the main road),
continue for about 2/3 miles, then take the next left (Its not a T junction but the road v-ers off to the left or right, take the left, as right goes
to the airport, continue through Chaweng (watch out for one way system returning - to come back the way you came through Chaweng in
the daytime you need to go behind Chaweng and drive past / by the Lake as half of Chaweng's high street is one way, On your way back,
once driven (past the lake) your see a t junction, turn right into / towards Chaweng high street and then left at the point the one way system
ends in Chaweng high street allowing you to drive back the way you came, so your on your way back) To locate Lamai from Chaweng is easy,
Once through to the end of Chaweng high street you will see a junction to get on the main ring road, turn left onto the main ring road, (F.Y.I.
right for Tesco lotus superstore) continue for 4/5 miles (and enjoy the sights) until you see a Mac-donalds sign high up on your left, take that
left and your driving through Lamai high street housing many shops. Lamai is the second most popular tourist area, with Chaweng being the
first. You can park up and find access to the beach in Chaweng or Lamai. be aware Lamai high street is one way like Chaweng high street in
parts, its a little confusing if you've not been / driven there before so hope this guide helps and is easy to understand. You need to drive
through Lamai and take a right somewhere and find the main Island ring road again. Take a right when entering the ring road and your
heading back to Chaweng. Be careful not to miss the turning into Chaweng high street on the way back. All one way streets are only one way
during the day it seems (i.e. can go either way at night) I hope this guide helps else you may find yourself driving in circles ! To sum up, in
short you go Left, then Left again for Chaweng, and from there Left, then Left again for Lamai.
