Residence: A luxury seaview (12 room) private residence located right in front of the sea in Plai Laem Beach - Samui. Studio 2: is available to rent at excellent value direct from the leaseholder / myself. New, Modern and clean and now featuring cooking facilities and a kettle and soft topped foam mattress for superior comfort, it is suitable for long-term stays. The Papillon residence is based on 1200sqm of land in the perfect location. (more on the location below)
Studio 2 (& Extra's): (continued) A 47sqm Koh Samui apartment / Studio housed within the Papillon residence ideal for couples and up-to one child, Complete with a mini kitchen, including a Cooker, Microwave, Kettle, and additional cutlery all of which excluding the microwave is only in Studio 2. other additional extras only available in Studio 2 are, a Mosquito door and window nets, Private DVD movie library, mains adapters, Cinema System(&T.V/DVD), Broom, mats, Alarm clock & Wall clock, Emergency Light, Boogie Surf Board, and additional pillows for the sofa including thinner Luxury (more comfortable) pillows for the bed with Luxury Pillow cases and as mentioned previously a soft foam topper mattress for superior comfort. (these are good), Pristine Bathroom, tiled floors, double bed, dining area, storage/cub-board. Safe to store valuables, and of-course a premium LG A/C unit capable to keep you as cool as you need. Studio 2 is pristinely clean, modern and comfortable.
A hotel service can be provided too if you wish with breakfast and Room Cleaning set for any time / frequency you like, reception is not permanently manned during the afternoon or the restaurant. (Between 12 midday - 4pm) The residence does do a laundry service and there are laundry shops all over the island offering good value. Car and motorbike is rental is available in abundance. (details on Getting around samui page.(ask reception for a taxi to take you to a rental shop) Promoted by the leaseholder studio 2 is managed by Samui Phangan properties and I am impressed with the staff and facilities being so helpful and nice. Based in an excellent location in Samui, 70 Meters from water/sea, the sea view is great/incredible (now the bushes are gone). The sea view is not ob-structed in anyway. and near the famous big budda (is within view too on the beach) The studio has direct access to the white sandy beach & sea and not a too far walk too. (70 meters!)
Location: Plai laem beach in a quiet residential area away from clubs and parties, but not too far from Chaweng and Lamai, (the main towns/tourist attractions) Tesco's, Big C, Market, and all the modern conveniences you would need are all close. Seven eleven is the closest shop and stocks most items and a number of restaurants with sea views are within walking distance from the residence. The Plai Laem beach is very quite so if you like others on the beach it is better going to chaweng beach or Lamai. On Plai Laem beach a coconut tree can be some welcome shade. The residence is set on the plai Leam pinnisula tip in an upper class residential and resort area. It is peaceful and the beach just in front of the residence is very quiet, usually no one on the there apart from the odd sunbather or local squid catching in the evening. When the tide goes out in the evening usually in Plai Leam beach it is shallow waters from below the knee for near half a mile so one can walk out seeminlgly quite far out to sea and still have the water below the knee ! .All the lights at night are locals out on bare feet usually in the shallows catching squid and fish. I would advise wearing shoes if walking in the shallows as I have seen sharp glass in the sand a few times.
GOOGLE EATH 5.0 - COOL ! If you have not tried the new google earth 5.0 I recommend it. Its well cool and quite detail. The Papillon residence's location can be found on google earth if typed in Plai Laem Papillon residence. The sat pics must be old over Samui (pre96) as the building (The papillon residence) is not there yet but the location can be clearly seen and most of the island and other islands checked out and discovered so you can decide what you want to do before you go, get a sense of your bearings and land masses and confirm the Papillon residence is in an ideal location. Its an amazing FREE tool from google and lets you discover the hole world in amazing clarity from the sky. There is even an option to simulate flying over your chosen terrain (samui) in a bi-plane or fighter jet but the fighter jet is almost impossible to control. I dont think like a real jet :)

If you have time please check the things to do and price guide for studio 2 and I think your be pleasantly surprised, especially with a excellent value of the 3 for 2 week promotional offer. Make sure you go to the right place. Koh Samui. Bangkok's is a bit busy and lacks the scenery and mainland Thailand isn't that groovy. The gulf islands is where the real beauty is. Bookmark this website, if you cant go yet.
There are many more low standard rooms available. (rather than nice clean modern ones on the Island).
